Ozzy Osbourne has taken to social media to blast Kanye West for using a sample of a 1983 performance of “War Pigs” in his new project with Ty Dolla $ign, Vultures. “@kanyewest ASKED PERMISSION TO SAMPLE A SECTION OF A 1983 LIVE PERFORMANCE OF “WAR PIG” FROM THE US FESTIVAL WITHOUT VOCALS & WAS REFUSED PERMISSION BECAUSE HE IS AN ANTISEMITE AND HAS CAUSED UNTOLD HEARTACHE TO MANY,” a tweet from Ozzy reads. “HE WENT AHEAD AND USED THE SAMPLE ANYWAY AT HIS ALBUM LISTENING PARTY LAST NIGHT. I WANT NO ASSOCIATION WITH THIS MAN!”

Kanye played Vultures at a listening event at Chicago’s United Center on Thursday night (2/8); he has a second event scheduled for tonight (2/9) at Long Island’s UBS Arena. The album has not been released yet outside of the events.
The antisemitic remarks Kanye has made in interviews and social media have led numerous companies to cut ties with him, including Adidas, Gap Inc, Creative Artists Agency, and Balenciaga. More recently, Bill Maher called Kanye a “very charming antisemite” while speaking to TMZ Investigates on why he wouldn’t be running an episode of his podcast featuring an interview he did with Kanye.
