Australian singer-songwriter Maple Glader is releasing her sophomore album, I Get Into Trouble, next month on Pieater/Partisan, and she’s given us another early taste with subtle, shapeshifting new single “Two Years.” “I remember having the need to write this song at the moment I was experiencing these uncertain feelings, but being unable to do so in private,” she says. “This was a time of life where I got swept up into the clouds, and didn’t feel the ground for a long time. Even listening to the song now I can feel the self-doubt in my lyrics, the indecision in the music, the attempt to find the sweetness amongst what was ultimately an incredibly claustrophobic experience.”
Maple Glider also announced her first-ever shows in the US, happening this fall in Los Angeles (November 28 at Genghis Cohen) and Brooklyn (December 5 at The Sultan Room). Tickets go on sale Friday, September 15 at 10 AM local. She also has dates in Europe, the UK, and Australia, and you can see those below.
