There’s a new action figure version of Devo co-founder Gerald “Jerry” Casale, inspired by the band’s fourth album, 1981’s New Traditionalists and their video for “Through Being Cool” (which Casale directed with Chuck Statler). The Gerald Casale ReAction Figure stands 3.75″ tall, with multiple points of articulation, a removable Action Vest, and a Spud Gun. Get yours HERE.
Also available are action figures of Mark Mothersbaugh, inspired by “Whip It,” and Bob Casale, inspired by “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” Get those and a grey vinyl pressing of New Traditionalists in the BV store.
Devo recently announced a three-LP set of rare and unreleased material from their early, arty days, Art Devo 1973-1977, and a documentary about them premiered earlier this year at Sundance. They have shows coming up this spring at BeachLife Festival and Punk Rock Bowling.
