Influential Long Island post-hardcore/emo vets On The Might of Princes have announced announced two shows in April. They’ll play Lake Como, NJ’s Salty’s Beach Bar on April 20, and a boat show on April 21, departing from Pier 36 in NYC. Support comes from two newer Long Island post-hardcore bands, Common Sage at both shows and Heavy Hex in NJ, and both also have “very special guests” still TBA. Tickets are on sale now.
These will be On the Might of Princes’ first shows since they reunited for three dates back in September to honor the 20th anniversary of their final album, Sirens, and the 10th anniversary of the death of lead vocalist Jason Rosenthal. Those had vocalist Rachel Rubino (of Open City and Bridge and Tunnel) and guitarist Tom Tierney (of Tidal Arms and Julie Christmas’ band) joining the band, and happened alongside the premiere of a new documentary about them. Rachel and Tom will be with them for the new dates, as well.
