Goldenvoice’s new California hard rock and heavy metal festival, Power Trip, goes down at Indio’s Empire Polo Grounds (the same location as Coachella, Stagecoach, and Desert Trip) on October 6-8, and they’ve revealed the set times. With just two bands performing on each of the three nights, there are no set time conflicts, just an earlier set and a later set: Guns N’ Roses and Iron Maiden on Friday, AC/DC and Judas Priest on Saturday, and Metallica and Tool on Sunday. See the schedule below.
Ozzy Osbourne was originally scheduled for Saturday, but he cancelled his set in July due to health issues, and Judas Priest, who Ozzy said are “personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed,” will replace him.
This will be AC/DC’s first show since 2016, and they recently revealed a few lineup changes for it. Bassist Cliff Williams is “coming out of retirement for the festival,” and Matt Laug will fill in on drums for Phil Rudd.
