The ongoing Anxious / Koyo / One Step Closer tour is pretty much a dream bill for the new generation of emo bands rooted in East Coast melodic hardcore, and the second leg with support from Stateside has even more where that came from. Hailing from California, Stateside are the one band on the bill that aren’t from the Northeast, but they’ve got very similar DNA to their upcoming tourmates and they do a lot of justice to early Saves The Day/Movielife type stuff. Ahead of their leg on the tour, they’ve just released a new song, “Since Last Season,” and it picks right up where their great 2023 debut EP It’s What We Do left off. It’s equal parts catchy and aggressive, and you can hear it below.
The Anxious/Koyo/OSC/Stateside tour begins Tuesday (3/12) in Milwaukee and wraps up in NYC with a show on March 28 at Brooklyn Monarch. The first leg with Life’s Question just wrapped up last night (3/10). All dates are listed below.
