THE CHATS
Aussie punks The Chats will be back in North America this spring, beginning May 5 in Burlington and from there hitting Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Richmond, Charlotte, Savannah, Daytona Beach, New Orleans, Memphis, Columbus, St Louis, Oklahoma City, Omaha, Boise, Vancouver, and wrapping things up in Las Vegas for Punk Rock Bowling.
THE DAMNED
As mentioned, The Damned welcomed drummer Rat Scabies back into the fold late last year, which reunites the early-’80s lineup of the punk icons who, along with Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, and Paul Gray, gave us two of the band’s best albums, 1980’s The Black Album and 1982’s Strawberries. They’ve just announced a North American tour for late spring, which will be the first time that lineup has played here since 1989.
LE REN
Le Ren will be on tour with Angie McMahon starting March 12 in Seattle for a few West Coast dates, and then she’ll be out with joining Sarah Jarosz beginning April 23. In the middle of that spring run, Le Ren will play Brooklyn’s Union Pool on May 5 with Katie Malco. All dates are here.
CIGARETTES AFTER SEX
Dreampop band Cigarettes After Sex have announced a massive tour in support of their upcoming album X’s, including a show at NYC’s Madison Square Garden.
ESSENTIAL TREMORS
Essential Tremors, the festival curated by Liars’ Angus Andrew, is back, happening Sunday, April 14 at Knockdown Center in Queens. The lineup this year includes Demdike Stare, Black Bananas, Marnie Stern, Nina Buchanan, LEYA, Shoeb Ahmad, and Mercury Symbol.
THURSDAY / MANY EYES / TIM KASHER
Having just wrapped up a tour together, Thursday and Many Eyes will hit the road together again in April for a few shows, this time with Cursive’s Tim Kasher along with them.
THE SOUL REBELS & GHOSTFACE KILLAH
Ghostface Killah and The Soul Rebels are teaming up for a run of shows at NYC’s Blue Note on June 21-23 with 8 PM and 11:30 PM shows each night. Before that they’ll play DC’s Howard Theatre on June 20 with GZA along for the ride. The Soul Rebels also have Blue Note shows on May 17 with Chris Dave. BONE THUGS-N-HARMONY
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have shows lined up through June in North America, some of which are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their debut EP, 1994’s Creepin on ah Come Up, as well as shows with Ice Cube, Cypress Hill and more.
AFTERSHOCK 2024
Sacramento heavy music fest Aftershock has announced its 2024 lineup, which includes Slayer, Iron Maiden, ICP, Slipknot, Mötley Crüe, Pantera, Judas Priest, PUP, Soul Glo, Militarie Gun, Drug Church, Touché Amoré, Mastodon, Ministry, Code Orange, High Vis, The Chisel, and many more.
POWER TRIP
Power Trip recently announced that they’d be officially making their return (with Fugitive / Skourge vocalist Seth Gilmore filling in for the late Riley Gale) at the new No Values festival and other TBA dates, and now two more dates have been announced.
ABBATH
Abbath (the current project of Immortal’s Abbath Doom Occulta) have announced a North American tour in support of 2022’s Dread Reaver, marking their first tour here since 2019. It’s with an excellent support lineup of Imperial Triumphant, Black Anvil, and Final Gasp.
T BONE BURNETT
Producer, singer and songwriter T Bone Burnett just announced a new album and a string of shows, both of which are his first in 20 years.
HOMESHAKE / FREAK HEAT WAVES
Peter Sagar has a new Homeshake album, CD Wallet, out next week, and has just announced a big tour in support. He’ll be out for most of the fall, including a run of shows with fellow Canadians Freak Heat Waves that includes two nights at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on October 21 & 22.
MOVEMENT FEST
Movement fest has announced even more artists for its 2024 lineup including Richie Hawtin, Ludacris, Channel Tres, The Blessed Madonna, Chris Lake, Dom Dolla, Goldie (DJ set), Tee Grizzley, Masters at Work, LTJ Bukem, Special Request, Carl Craig (live), Floorplan, Fatima Hajji, Pariboi69 (live), and more.
DOM DOLLA
Australian DJ and producer Dom Dolla, who was nominated for a Grammy this year for his remix of Gorillaz’ “New Gold,” will hit the road starting this weekend for a tour around Coachella. He’s also playing Movement fest (see above) and has summer dates as well, including a big NYC show at Forest Hills Stadium on August 30. All dates are here.

Very popular 19-year-old slowcore artist sign crushes motorist has announced his first tour, which is with Olivia O.
MDOU MOCTAR
Tuareg band Mdou Moctar have announced a North American tour in support of their upcoming album Funeral for Justice.
ARLO PARKS
UK artist and Mercury Prize winner Arlo Parks is on tour now with Chloe George, with dates wrapping up in NYC at Brooklyn Steel on April 2. and she’s just added another, more intimate NYC show.
