After sharing a couple singles this summer, Ty Segall has announced a new album, Three Bells, which will be out January 26 via Drag City. The album was co-produced by Bitchin Bajas’ Cooper Crain; Ty’s wife, Denée Segall, co-wrote five of the songs; and it features contributions from members of The Freedom Band.
Three Bells includes “Eggman” and “Void,” and with the announcement comes new single “My Room,” a big, sophisticated song that doesn’t sound like anything Ty’s released before. He co-directed the video with Matt Yoka and it has him playing every member of the band, who try to keep their cool onstage despite being pelted with bananas. Watch below.
Ty’s solo tour with former Sic Alps frontman Mike Donovan hits NJ’s White Eagle Hall on Friday, November 10. He’ll be back in 2024 with a new band to play Webster Hall on April 29. He’s added more dates as well, and all are listed below.
