Every BTS music product that comes out has ARMYs eagerly anticipating what they’ll be like. And one of the things we’ve been waiting for is definitely SUGA’s mixtape as Agust D. SUGA also recently revealed a bit, apparently related to his D-3 mixtape in an interview.
At the end of 2021, SUGA along with the rest of BTS appeared on the covers of both GQ kσrєα and Vogue kσrєα for the January issue. The members all had individual photo sessions and then sat down together with the interviewers to answer some questions as well as look back on what they have done during the past 1 year.
During his interview, SUGA was asked, “What is a new memo that you wrote down on your notebook or smartphone recently?”. He replied, “A new memo…My recent solo songs. Since I always write lyrics on a notebook, I think most of it is lyrics that I worked on.”
SUGA’s answer got ARMYs excited because he said “recent solo songs”. ARMY thinks he’s working on another mixtape with his stage name Agust D. If so, this will be the 3rd mixtape in his career. SUGA released his first mixtape (Agust D) in 2016 and he released his second mixtape (D-2) in 2020. Both mixtape give fans a deeper insight into SUGA’s inner world while helping him show more of his rapping, songwriting and production skílls. Of course, both Agust D and D-2 are masterpieces with unique SUGA features.
Over the past year, SUGA has also worked extremely hard on composing and collaborating with many other artists. He is also very successful with songs written for other artists or combined with other artists. Most recently, he was featured on Juice WRLD’s “Girl of My Dreams.”
Some ARMYs also surmised, there’s a possibility that SUGA might be referring to his songs that he wrote for BTS or other artists. But ARMYs still long for soṃệẗḧing as he hasn’t been featured in a song as a solo artist since 2020 until “Girl of My Dreams” is released in December 2021. So what SUGA said it sounds like he’s definitely referring to the songs he’s working on for his next mixtape.
Hopefully SUGA will soon release his great mixtape in the near future so that we can admire a musician, producer, rapper SUGA – August D.
